We are very pleased to invite you to attend the 17th Biennial Meeting of the International Association of Craniofacial Identification (IACI) 2017 at the School of Biomedical Sciences, The University of Queensland in Brisbane, AUSTRALIA, 15-19 Jul 2017!
This is the first announcement for what will be a very special meeting – the 30th Anniversary of the Association. We welcome new participants and hope that this anniversary inspires reunions for many longstanding members!

A Call for Abstracts will be made shortly and we encourage you to submit your very best and latest research in the craniofacial domain as pertains to forensic identification for a podium or poster presentation. The theme for this conference will be “Science Supercharged Methods”. We anticipate submissions spanning the full breadth of the field, from sex and ancestry estimation of skulls, to face morphology prediction using genetics, humanitarian rights investigations, the latest visualisation and shape analysis tools, police implementation and everything in between.

Saturday 15th – Hands-on human face dissection workshop in the multimillion dollar SBMS Gross Anatomy Facilities (special registration required);
Sunday 16th – Workshop on Gerasimov’s Authentic Methods of Plastic Facial Reconstruction – experience Gerasimov’s specially formulated modelling mastic (special registration required);
Monday/Tuesday 17-18th – Scientific sessions;
Wednesday 19th – Island daytrip adventure providing further networking opportunities!
