SUMMARY:Forensic Foundations-Expert Witness Training.
DESCRIPTION:Forensic Foundations is offering a two day expert witness train
 ing programme.\nThe presenters are Anna Davey and Michael Holohan.\n\n\n\n
 \n\nAnna Davey was a member of the State Forensic Science Laboratory team 
 that introduced DNA profiling to Victoria for criminal casework. In that r
 ole\, she spent many a happy hour in the witness box.In 2000\, Anna joined
  the National Institute of Forensic Science as Deputy Director and in 2008
 \, she established Forensic Foundations. a specialised service providing t
 ools for both non-legal and legal practitioners working at the interface b
 etween expert knowledge and legal argument.\n\nIn addition to Forensic Fou
 ndations\, Anna is involved in teaching at a number of Australian Universi
 ties. Anna is a Council member of the Victorian Chapter\, Australian Acade
 my of Forensic Sciences.Anna holds the following qualifications: MSc\, Gra
 d Dip Legal Studies\, Grad Cert Public Sector Management and Cert IV in tr
 aining and assessment.\n\nAnna will be presenting on days 1 &amp\; 2.\n\n&
 nbsp\;\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMichael Holohan is a Barrister of Law in private
  practice at the Queensland Bar. He is the holder of a Master of Laws\, Ma
 ster of Science (Forensic Science)\, Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Scie
 nce degrees. He has also completed the Advanced Advocacy Course at Keble C
 ollege\, University of Oxford\, England.He specializes in criminal law\, a
 dministrative law (industrial relations)\, trade practices (product liabil
 ity) and family law. He has defended various criminal matters including mu
 rder\, armed robbery\, deprivation of liberty\, assault\, sexual assault\,
  computer crime\, fraud\, drug and traffic offences. He also specializes i
 n the areas of forensic/expert evidence\, electronic/computer evidence and
  laboratory accreditation.He has also previously performed duties as a sci
 entific officer with the Queensland Police Service and the\nAFP\, as a Sen
 ior Legal Officer with the Crime and Misconduct Commission Queensland\, sp
 ecialising in telecommunications interception and administrative law.He is
  also a sessional staff member with the QUT Legal Practice Course and Facu
 lty of Science and Technology Brisbane.\n\nMichael will be presenting on d
